Mr Faisal performed a total knee replacement for me last October. The quality of the result is fantastic and the care throughout was faultless. Highly recommended surgeon. He set realistic expectations regarding post op rehabilitation which resulted in me managing my personal aftercare much more effectively than I might have otherwise. My range of motion exceeds all expectations and it has given me a new lease of life.

Mr Faisal was absolutely straightforward in his initial interview with me about my knee operation. The operations success would be down to me doing what was requested of me post operation.the operation was a success and the physiotherapist afterwards was extremely helpful and encouraging. The hospital facilities were comfortable and the staff very pleasant. My recovery has been good and I am happy and active again. Not having to pay for parking makes a difference for visitors and for subsequent appointments.

I am very grateful to Mr Faisal and his team for the excellent care and support during my 2 recent hip replacements in less than 4 months. I would recommend him and the Nuffield Hospital without hesitation. Before my first operation he explained everything fully and put my mind at rest. I was still very concerned about the operation though as it was the first operation I had ever had in my life. The pre-op was also very good with helpful, supportive staff. Nevertheless, by the morning of the operation I was still undecided whether to have a general anaesthetic (something I feared) or a spinal (something I feared even more). At one point I had the Mr Faisal, the anaesthetist and Head Nurse, plus my partner all round the bed discussing my dilemma. I have to add, before this point my partner and my daughters (both of whom had spinals for caesareans), were totally against it. However after having everything explained to me fully, including the 'fors' and 'againsts' I opted for a spinal. Even my partner agreed! It was the best thing I did. Once they had prepared me for the operation I just went to sleep and the next thing I remember was Mr Faisal saying everything has gone very well. I had some water straight away and a cup of tea as soon as I got on the ward. The spinal wore off gradually, with no pain and I was out of bed the same night. No I didn't have SuperPath but my scar is not very large and healed quickly plus I was driving in 5 weeks. The pain was contained by drugs and only hampered by my other hip which was badly in need of surgery. 18 weeks later I was back in hospital for my 2nd operation and this time I can honestly say that I was looking forward to it and I came out of hospital in less pain and discomfort than I went it. 6 weeks later I am walking well, I can even run and already down to 3 paracetemol a day. My only regret is that I waited so long to have it done.

I had a super Path left hip replacement on 07/10/17 under the care of Mr Faisal , It was not an operation I had been looking forward to as I had my right hip replaced some 4 years earlier,, I suffered a lot of pain and a long recovery from this surgery. I know all people have different pain levels and rates of recovery, but for me the super path procedure has been an overwhelming success. I was up and about in no time with very limited pain. 4 weeks on and my wound has healed with very little scaring, I can now walk unaided and have started to drive again. I am so pleased with the outcome of the surgery. Thank you to Mr Faisal and his team on a job well done.

I am now 7 weeks post op from having a full Hip Replacement using the Superpath method The operation was performed by Mr M Faisal at Nuffield Hospital Warwick/ Leamington Before I give feed back a little about myself I am a 51year old Kidney Transplant recipient having been lucky to have had my Transplanted Kindney now 12 years I tell you this as due to the Transplant and associated drugs I take my surgery and aftercare was probably a little more complicated than normal So having been told I need a new Hip due to Bone Necrosis by the NHS I looked up the Superpath Proceedure and who was able to perform it Mr Faisal was selected and my wife and I met him at BMI Coventry Being a little apprehensive we were both quickly put at ease by Mr Faisal who explained fully the procedure in full and all it’s benefits and possible problems that can occur during the operation ( No Problems occurred) A little about Mr Faisal A genuinely likeable fella ! Who puts you at ease when you meet him , He ensures that the procedure is fully explained and answers all your questions without leaving you in any doubt about your operation - I really would recommend him as your surgeon of choice if you are considering him I’m not an expert on surgery or surgeons but all I can say he did what he said he was going to do in a professional friendly manor and took me out of two years of agony The operation I had the Epidural ( I’m not sure if this is normal or due to me not being able to tolerate anaesthetic) also something to make me sleepy Suffice to say I felt no pain during the operation nor was I actually aware of any part of the procedure so whatever I was given to make me slightly sleepy worked perfectly and I must have slept throughout which I am greatful for It appeard I was soon being pushed back to my room and the operation was all over I’ll be completely honest and as the epidural wore off I experienced quite a lot of pain which was mainly due to the High level of Pain killers I was already taking so when I switched over to the Hospital Pain Releif wasn’t enough ( I was taking 8 Tramadol and 8 Paracetamol per day just to be able to Work ) A Consulant visited and soon sorted the problem by doubling my pain relief once I made them aware Mr Faisal also visited and ensured I was getting enough pain relief after I also mentioned it to him physio visited that evening and up and out of bed I got using the Frame ( again painful but hey Id just had a new hip !) Up and down the corridor within a few hours of the operation and when I think Back probably in about the same amount of pain after the op than I would have been prior to it without pain relief ( hope that makes sense ) Two nights in Hospital and i was discharged home ( with crutches) as I no longer needed the frame Using the Crutches soon gets easier and the pain relief needed also reduces quickly How am I now ? No pain relief needed No Pain !!! At 5 weeks I was up a ladder and crawling around my garage floor working on my Motorcycle ( probably not recommended but not one to sit around longer than needed My life has changed dramatically From having terrible pain 24 hrs per day , Having to take a huge amount of pain killers and suffering all the side effects that these bring , not being able to walk unaided more than a few hundred yards to now No pain and a normal life As you can imagine I would highly recommend Mr Faisal the Warwick Hospital and the Super path Proceedure

Mr Faisal qualified in 1992 from the prestigious Aligarh University in India. He then went on to complete his masters (MS) in Orthopaedics. He completed his UK training in the West Midlands, Sheffield and Warwick. He also did a one year fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty in the UK and supplemented this with fellowships at world renowned lower limb reconstruction units at Mayo Clinic, USA and at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.

Mr Faisal has extensive experience in primary and revision hip and knee replacement especially minimally invasive hip replacement, ceramic on ceramic and uncemented hip replacements.

A SUPERPATH Hip replacement technique is designed to precisely reconstruct the hip without cutting muscles and tendons or stretching muscles that are important for hip function.

Mr Faisal also offers customised total knee replacement surgery using patient specific instruments to streamline total knee replacement surgery according to patients anatomy. The Zimmer Patient Specific Instruments Planner is the next generation in surgical planning. The surgeon can preoperatively view the patient’s anatomy in its purest geometrical form to develop a customised surgical plan for each patient.
